Dear Classmate,
You have by now received your information regarding the
Fort Gay High School
Alumni Association annual reunion.
The reunion is again set for labor day weekend of this year.
We do hope
that you are making plans to attend. Our numbers
continue to hold steady and it is so nice to see the faces of friends
from our high school years.
The FGHS Memorial open golf tournament is again scheduled as part of the weekend
activities. The tournament has become the number one fund raising event for the FGHS Memorial Scholarship. As you are perhaps
aware, we FGHS alumni are looked upon with a lot of respect for the manner in which we have supported the scholarship through
our donations, large and small, to the scholarship fund. It is only successful because of support by alumni such as yourself.
There are two ways that we can support the tournament; one is by participating as a player and the other is by sponsoring
a golf hole in the tournament either individually or a part of a group.
I have spoken with some members of
our class regarding our class, as a group, sponsoring a golf hole, and they have indicated this was good idea and a willingness
to participate. Several classes have done this in the past and continue to do so. If you are in agreement with this and would
like to join in, please send me a check for $10.00 made payable to the Fort Gay High Alumni Association and note that it is
for golf sponsorship. Your class will then be placed in the program as a sponsor.
REMEMBER,one hundred
percent of the golf tournament preceeds go to the scholarship. Thank you for help and support you can give.
Whether
you donate or not, we do hope to see as many of you as possible at this years reunion.
Sincerely'
